wills, trusts and tax planning
Making a will is about planning for the future of your loved ones, and making sure your wishes are carried out for your peace of mind.
why should I make a will?
- To ensure your assets are distributed as you wish
- To make adequate provision for your loved ones, and for friends and charities if you choose to
- To ensure your loved ones do not suffer unnecessary stress
- To make provision for your children's future by appointing guardians
- To provide for any special funeral requirements you may have
- To minimise your tax liability
what happens if I don't make a will?
- The intestacy rules will govern how your Estate is distributed
- Your family may not receive what you would like them to
- Friends and charities will receive nothing
- Dealing with your Estate may be complex and costly
- Your children may not be brought up by whom you would like
- You cannot make funeral arrangements for yourself
- Your estate may pay unnecessary tax
